I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT.

Anyways, this is one of those purchase posts, so stay away if you don't like reading these (Q4R this Wednesday, come back again then!).



That's how the cover looks like! It's like some cut-out-pop-up thing which is just really really pretty. Big Bang ALWAYS has very amazing packaging. *nods*

I'll admit that I only got this single because I wanted to make the single coming be #100. But still, it is still one of my favorite ever Japanese singles by one of my favorite Jpop groups ever.



Tackey & Tsubasa - Kamen / Mirai Koukai

If you look back to this post, you will see that I've already bought another version of this before. However, it's one of my favorite Jpop songs ever, which makes the 2nd single more than worth the buy. Go take a listen if you haven't, Kamen is a seriously good song.

BIG BANG - My Heaven

I have no idea how their name is spelled in Japan - BIG BANG, Big Bang or BIGBANG? Hm.

Either way, this single came with a first press postcard! Which I totally did not expect. So that was nice.

My Heaven initially came out in Korean (and the Korean title translates to "Heaven" as well, how original), so it's not exactly a song I could squee over (since I've already heard it a few times). But still, Taeyang looks AMAZING in the video (as does the other members, of course, ahem), so that makes me really happy.

You might have already guessed it, judging from the 99th single, but number 100 is...



BIG BANG - GARA GARA GO!!

I LOVE THIS SINGLE TO BITS AND PIECES. Gara Gara Go!! is an amazing song which has an incredible PV (THAT'S THE WAY PVs SHOULD BE MADE JAPAN, YOU HEAR ME?). The B-side Top of the World was looping on my MP4 player for DAYS and the third song Stylish is possibly one of the most fun Big Bang songs EVER. You should seriously buy it if you've not, because Big Bang will change your life.

100 singles, each costing about 20 USD guarantees that I've spent at least 2000 USD on singles. Damn.

Yes this week I'm on time. Because I've decided not to sleep just so I can post this.

See how much I love you guys? Sigh.

But anyways, only ONE question this week, because that question alone will suck up my entire HP by 200 million and I will need lots of HP potions to recover from the damage of it all.

More than half a year ago.

Part of the reason to why I've not posted what I've bought is because Jpop-wise, I've really not bought much. I can show you guys ALL the things I've bought in Jpop for 2009 in this little post.

Also part of the reason why I've not posted is because most of the things I've bought this year is Kpop. Namely Big Bang.

Hirai Ken - Ken's Bar II

My goodness, it's been SO LONG that I don't even know how to do a proper purchase post anymore. I actually had to refer to and older post. Such is the fail of me.

Let's start with my latest purchase! Ken's Bar II was pretty much blah. I've yet to watch the DVD (NO TIME) but the songs are all kind of meh at best. And he covered an Ayumi song, which pretty much downgrades anybody's album by at least two grades. Because of my bias. So sue me.



AAA - 3rd Anniversary Live 080922-080923 NIPPON BUDOUKAN

It was a decent buy, AAA's concerts never fail to impress. But they're no longer really surprising anymore, everything is so expected now.

They need to do something new.



Urata Naoya - Turn Over

Of my Jpop purchases this year, this is possibly the worst. But it's Urata, so I went ahead and bought it anyways.

Guess what it's doing right now? It's collecting dust is what. Sheesh.

Big Bang Vol. 2 Second Live Concert BIG BANG IS GREAT

See how there's two covers? The pink one is a postcard book with TWO sets of postcards (one glossy and one matt) and the orange one is a 100+ page full colored photobook with the DVD at the back.

Now that's what I call good packaging.



Big Bang - SHOW, ANOTHER BIGSHOW Photobook

This thing is a mini monster. It's probably only as wide as a normal CD case, but it's freaking 600 PAGES.

To casually look at the whole thing took me about 15 minutes. Just mindless flipping for 15 minutes.

IMAGINE THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT WOULD TAKE ME TO LOOK AT EACH PAGE CLOSELY! OMG. I NEED MORE TIME NAO.



Big Bang Vol. 1 Since 2007

I just bought this for the fun of. But it had a few good songs I think. Like "She can't get enough" and Daesung's solo "Try Smiling".



Big Bang - 1st Mini Album Always

Yes, I've bought two copies of the same thing. The baby blue one is a first press copy though, so SUCK ON THAT ALL YOU OTHER BIG BANG FANS WHO DON'T HAVE IT.

And yes, I bought it thinking the photobook was different. It wasn't. Damn.



Big Bang 2nd Mini Album - Hot Issue

Another one bought just because. But this one had "Last Farewell" which is very possibly my favorite Big Bang song. Along with all my other favorite Big Bang songs.

If you ever want to get into the world of Big Bang, start with these two. The amount of AMAZING songs in these two alone will satisfy you for MONTHS AND MONTHS. Go buy it. Now.



Taeyang - HOT

Please tell me you guys know who Taeyang is. Considering I've whored his nakedness for you guys on more than one occasion?

But this album is so worth the buy. Not only is the booklet oozing with sex (I swear the booklet moans in an inappropriate manner when you first touch it), the CD is filled with awesome tracks that will definitely put you in the mood for some Taeyang-loving. Yum.



AJOO - 1st Kiss + Paparazzi

Impulse buys that are not worth talking about.

And that's it! ALL MY PURCHASES for this year! I'm so uninterested in all the releases this year that I really can't be bothered to buy anything. I don't support boring. If Jpop ups its game then will I spend more on it again.

As I have confessed in a recent post, I am currently in love with one certain Kpop group called Big Bang. I've bought Big Bang's latest concert DVD (which arrived last Thursday) and AAA's latest concert (which arrived last Friday) and have decided to compare the both of them, since I'm like really dry on topics to blog about and school is still being a royal pain in the hole.

Big Bang wins! Admittedly, the AAA concert was still better, but it is not as value-for-money as the Big Bang one is. I suspect I think the AAA concert is better because I'm much more familiar with them, so don't trust my judgment on this.... yet. Kpop is such an easy fandom to be in, everything is so GODDAMN CHEAP COMPARED TO JPOP! ZOMGAH, GLEE.


Hopefully this sheds some light on all you Jpop fans out there as to how much MORE you're spending. BUT WE MUST PERSEVERE! ROAR!

Tis' the season to spend money FALALALALALALALALA~

Ahem.

I've been missing and a terrible blogger because it's Christmas and I have to work. D: And school's also a bitch, so basically everything is not in my favor.

But no worries! I've finished compiling my top 30 songs of 2008 (and trust me, there are quite a few surprises in there) and will post that up soon!

Meanwhile, here's some of the things I've gotten myself over the past few weeks.

IT IS AWESOME



EXILE - EXILE ENTERTAINMENT BEST

This was 50% off on HMV a few months ago, so naturally I snatched it up. And well, that's about all I can say about this album I guess. I think there's only 2 tracks that I actually like on the album. Hmmm.

The album came with 2 booklets and 2 DVDs, one of each for the EXamurai Anime and one of each for the normal EXILE stuff.



I liked this booklet! The colors make me happy for some odd reason. That and the fact that everyone looks pretty good in this set. *nods*

Have not watched the DVDs yet and I am frankly none too interested. Another time!



EXILE - LAST CHRISTMAS

Bought this on a whim. Kind of regret it now. Limited edition my ass. Well at least it was only 500 yen.



YUI - I LOVED YESTERDAY

Got this because it was also 50% off, and it had all the songs form YUI that I really liked, including CHE.R.RY, Good-bye Days and Rolling Star. And me not owning a single YUI item makes me feel kind of guilty, since I really like a quite a number of her songs.

Well, guilt be no more! :D

My Tommy Hilfiger one ran out so it was time to get a new one for myself! I think I use too much cologne on myself.... D: ANYTHING TO SMELL GOOD RAWR!

And no, I don't really use the dual time thingy since I don't fly everywhere constantly and I kind of memorize the time zones already. It's now set to some drastically different time to have the contrast there.

But that's not the main point. The main point is THE WATCH FACE IS HUGE! Compare the above photo with your own keyboard and you'll get a rough idea of how big it is. I LOVE IT!

These arrived on the day of my blog's anniversary, so it was a nice anniversary surprise for me!

These are very possibly the last purchases of this year too, considering AAA pushed back their single to next freaking January. Bah.

Anyways, first up, as the title suggests is...



Kanjani 8 - Musekinin Hero (LE A, LE B, RE)

Kyahaha, I totally went nuts because I thought the covers were cute. And me being curious and all decided to open just ONE to see how the pictures inside looked. Well, here's how the single looks inside:



Bloody hell. NO EXTRA PICTURES?! The one at the top is the Digipak which the LE A and B came in, and the gold one is the lyrics sheet. No pictures whatsoever. I feel cheated.

Needless to say, I didn't open the other two. I already know how the RE one looks, and judging from the LE A, LE B must not be very interesting either.

Hey! Say! JUMP - Mayonaka no Shadow Boy (LE)

THE COVER IS SO PRETTY! As with my HSJ singles (except the first one), I keep them all unopened, so I didn't open this one either. BUT THE COVER AND THE BACK IS SO PRETTY! It's times like this that I'm glad I stuck to supporting HSJ. I HAVE ALL THE LE & FP SINGLES YOU HEAR YOU NEW HSJ FANGIRLS! TAKE THAT HA!

Ahem.

I'm 4 singles away to hitting 100 singles! Well, technically I HAVE bought 100 singles. The other 4 being Arashi's LE "We can make it!" (sold to Angelia), Arashi's LE "Aozora Pedal" (gave to Angelia), AAA's "DRAGON FIRE" and "Kirei na Sora" (I re-bought them because I wanted the first press videos, so now I have duplicates, great).

But, I want the 100 singles to be 100 DIFFERENT singles, so 4 more to go it is! I think I already know what number 100 might be, so we'll see how things go.
